The "Castle of Imagination", the International Performance Art Festival will be organized also this year. It begins traditionally in Northern Poland in Ustka and Slupsk - and continues as a traveling festival - this time it will appear in Torun and Krakow.

Its arrival announced 35 artists from 13 countries, from Israel (Yaron David, Beni Kori, Yaacov Chefez - video), USA (Greg Walloch, Rose Hill, Peter Grzybowski - video), Germany (Parycja German, Patrick Jambon, Alexandra Gneissl), Ireland (Anne Seagrave), Italy (Giovanni Fontana), Poland (Karolina Stepniowska, Ewa Rybska, Wladyslaw Kazmierczak, Dariusz Fodczuk, Wojtek Kowalczyk, Danuta Nawrocka, Karolina Wiktor, Aleksandra Kubiak, Wicza, Paweł Kwaśniewski, Anna Syczewska), Czech Rep. (Jiri Suruvka, Ivanna Obstova), Canada (Maria Legault, Shannon Cochrane, John Boehme), Finland (Leena Kela), Latvia (Group AUSEKLIC / USINS), Holland (Peter Baren), Egypt (Omar Ghayat), Belarus (Denis Romanowski).

We still observe the fascinating vitality of performance art on the art arena. It is a result of transformation of a personal attitude into art, of the never ending, personal and live process of responsiveness to the world's problems. Performance art excludes any rules, stylistics and at least the commercial deals, and prefers disinterested participation, directness, variety and experiment. These characteristics means that each festival is a unique transmission of diverse, personal statements.

The International Performance Art Festival "Castle of Imagination" is organized since 1993 by: Society of the Friends of Contemporary Art in Slupsk & Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Slupsk / Poland.
"Castle of Imagination" is the only, cyclical, international festival of performance art in Pomerania and in Poland. It is one of a few festivals of performance art in Europe. During 12 years, in the Festival there participated 332 artists from 31 countries: Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Japan, Holland, Slovakia, Estonia, Poland, France, Ukraine, South Korea, Lithuania, Portugal, Hungary, Honk Kong, Finland, Spain, Singapore, Czech Republic, Belgium, Northern Ireland, Belarus, Mexico, Israel, Yugoslavia, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Canada and USA.
